I nearly killed a bird today. We have a family of Mottled Ducks (black mallards) that like to sit on our runway. So far only a few tense moments and no bird strikes. I wouldn't mind if these ducks would get a bit more extinct.

Why, what do you think I expected Wade? I expected full unbridled brotherly love and total cooperation from the other species that inhabit our big blue marble of a planet. I mean just because I am burning fossil fuels and the fossils in question are the ones that did not evolve into birds or get stuck in some shallow tar pit where the geological conditions were not adequate to cook them into light sweet texas crude.... is that any reason for a duck to turn terrorist and attempt to commit sideways on my windshield? The nerve!
Here in occupied Louisiana, varmits and crop predators can be erradicated but oddly enough, they must be left where they fall and cannot be turned into gumbo. It is only legal to eat them if they actually come in through the canopy and forcibly force themselves down your throat. What a waste.
