I am not a 601XL builder so I do not have a dog in the fight just a question. Why was this letter put out? Was it a result of some test related to the flutter? Has anyone found a loose flap? Jerry of GA DO NOT ARCHIVE

				Pat,

I don't know about your plans, but they appear on drawing 6-S-3 on mine, for an XL, dated 40/05.

If you want me to scan the flap gap stop area, let me know.

Like Jay said, they're on the plans....just not where you'd expect to find them.

The flap stop was added to the plans sometime between '02 and '05. Because of that there are flying 601XLs without the stop. Planes both with and without it were tested during the GVT. The one with itperformedd better in the GVT. Which should not be a surprise to anyone.
