				Hi all, a friend of mine has just finished his 912s  powered Savana build and has been running up the motor. Starts on the  button and super smooth, however after six or seven minutes of taxi up and down  the air strip the port side carb overflows and the motor runs very  rough.
  We shut down right away and the float bowl is  totally full, indicating a needle and seat problem, when we pressurise the carbs  engine off-fuel pump on then check float level all is normal .Seems this carb  will only overflow when the motor is running.
  Both carbs have just come back from the Rotax agent  after being checked over , re installed today but the same problem  persist.
  Any idea's please.

				Hi Flynn,  
    
 Could it be a blockage of the carb overflow tube? The overflow tubes of both carbs need to see the same pressure, otherwise flooding will occur. If you extend the overflow tubes, the pressure will vary.

  I have seen this problem caused by a sliver of rubber cut from inside the rubber fuel hose blocking the float needle from seating, carb may be cleaned then checked on the bench then a sharp edge downstream of filter can send a slver in to the float bowl, other problems may be caused by gell from automotive fuels evaporating in the carb.

  I had the same problem the first time I started my 912ULS. My attempted  solution was to clean the carb that was flooding. Did this several times with no  improvement. Finally decided to clean the other carb. Ran fine after that.
  Also, if you have an aux fuel pump on continuously could be over  pressuring the float bowl.

				Many thanks to all for your help and suggestions,  we are methodically going through the processes, a last ditch resort will be to  take a carb off my 912 and install on my friends motor,wont be perfectly  balanced but will at least eliminate one area.

				Can also be caused by resonances, e.g.  resulting from the carb rubber mounting clip being too loose and/or  unbalanced carbs..
