Guys,

I'm trying to install several nut plates in a confined area. MK-319BS rivets are too wide to fit through through the attachment holes in the nut plates despite what I read in the A/C Spruce catalog.

I have several small pop rivets from my Kitfox project about 16 years ago and they will work. For the life of me I can't find any more like them. Any suggestions and websites?

If you want to use MK-319BS rivits, just open the holes on the nutplates to fit. Otherwise a pulled revit in that size does exist. Sorry I don't know the #.

There's something that Spruce calls CCC-32, and about all they're good for is attaching nutplates.

Spruce has them. See Cherry commercial rivets under "pop" rivets-rivnut listing, look for MSP-32. They also used to carry an MSP-34 if you need a longer grip length.

Drilling out the nut plates for MK-319's is also not a big deal.

Try these:

http://www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com/store.asp?subsubcat_id=497&category=Nutplate+Rivets&breadCrumb=Nutplate+Rivets%20->%20Blind+Rivets%20->%20Rivets&menuID=149~150~150~151~151&id=152

You may have to reassemble the link.....

tinyurl.com is a great help with links like this.

You can even create a toolbar "link" to make it easy to get the tinyurl.

GAHCO carries nutplate rivets, I am pretty sure. Bon Aero at www.bonaero.com also carries them. Can't remember the numbers, but they are CCS-32 or something like that.

The anti-virus software that I am using, ZoneAlarm, objects to the
tinyurl links because there is no way of knowing where the click will
take you. Aren't viruses fun?

Simple ... just drill out the nutplate mounting holes. 7/64 if memory serves me.
