Does anyone have an approx. lift-off distance and distance to clear 50' for a 601XL with Jab 3300 and wood prop? This is for a grass field. Thanks, Bob

Bob,
I have about 190 landings/takeoffs from my grass 1500 x 60 (approx) farm strip* and hope to base it on the farm in a month or two. It presently is at KPHT (Paris, Tn; in our EAA hanger)
*Before I retired here in Tennessee from SoCal. I called the Tennessee Dept of Aeronautics and asked them how people in Tennessee go about cutting a strip so they can fly their own airplanes from their own property. The answer was "most people in Tennessee use a bulldozer." (within about 10 miles of my farm there are at least 6 farm strips (that I know of) that are not on any map.)
The strip is rough and my takeoffs are slightly down hill (about a 20 - 30 ft drop total for the entire length)
At a gross weight of about 1125 lbs ((I have yet to load'er up with deer corn to gross weight for takeoffs from the farm (deer corn - to feed the deer in case of........ ))** on a 90 deg F hot day (density alt of about 1500 ft) at zero headwind, I am airborne in about 500 ft. About 100 feet from the end of the strip are about 75 ft trees which I easily clear. With a tail wind though, the trees are "imposing" - the max tail wind I have taken off with has been less than 10 kts. I have 6x600 tires/wheels, but the standard 5x500 should work well also.
* *I have counted as many as 14 deer grazing on my farm near the runway. Have only bagged two of them around here in five
years - with my truck - both times a $1500 AWG!
