I wonder if anybody using seats from CZ has found a good way to secure the backs in place.

Mine came with heavy duty velcro. One part was already attached onto the seat back with the other adhesive part to be stuck on the aluminum part of the seat back.

Can you still get those seats?

BTW, here is a picture of my DIY upholstery seats I just completed. Got the foam kit from Hi-Tech Foams (http://www.seatfoam.com/). Bought a hide from Midwest Fabrics (http://www.midwestfabrics.com/) for $100. I made the backing from ¼” think end grain balsa sheets covered in fiberglass. I put a few carriage bolts through the back to hold the seat with wing nuts. Sewed the seat with my wife’s machine. It was a lot of work but I think it turned out okay.

Mine did not come with velcro on the seat backs or the seat itself. I used velcro on the seat and 2 small brass hinges
at the bottom of each back. I screwed them in the seat and used A4 rivets on the acft side. The seat backs pivot forward
to give easy access to the 3rd passenger in the luggage compartment(only kidding).

To address another point: SportAir stopped supporting Zenith and building accessories some time ago.

I also remember hearing that CZAW went out of business.

Brian that is what I was thinking about doing only using trim hinges. Small brass hinges may be a better choice. By the way, where did you get the luggage compartment nets?
