Chris D/Gang:

Thanks, Chris.

I have been apprehensive about checking my mkIII for fear of finding damage done by rodents as I have the last two years.

Before I left on my trip I stuffed some super coarse scotchbrite pads into the aft end of the tail boom.

At noon today, when I went over to the farm for Thanksgiving dinner, I road on out to the airstrip and reluctantly removed the windshield cover. Lo and behold, everything was just as I left it three months ago with the exception of some additional spider webs and dust. Thank you Lord for taking care of my mkIII. Wink

I did use a lot of Decon rat bait prior to departure. I don't know if that was a deterent or not.

Now to get ready to fly to the Nauga Fly Around in Star Hill, LA.

Hi Folks:

In addition, I left the aircraft battery hooked up to a small solar panel and charger. The battery was still hot and ready to start the 912ULS. Normally, the electric clock will run down the battery in a month is not recharged.

Also, the Whelen Strobes still work. It is normal for the capacitors in the power packs to go belly up is not operated periodially. I was happy to see them popping when I flipped the switch.

John, hope you're having a great Thanksgiving.
Even with all the deep stuff our country is in now, we're bloody lucky.
Happy Turkey!
And happy Nauga-ing.
Russ
