				Hi,

As you all can imagine, it is not so nice to read about what the 601XL
 and 650
builders are going through. I am really sorry about the developments.

I am not trying to interfere with the change process involving the two
 models.
But I would like to add a comment that I have not seen so far. If I had
 to make
those changes, I would involve a technical counselor of the local EAA
 chapter.
Specifically, I would make the changes, and before closing up anything,
would ask a technical counselor come over, examine everything, and
make an annotation in the builder's log that everything was done
 according
to plan. This would be insurance that I had done everything right, and
also create documentation of that fact, in case any question arises
 later.
It would be consistent with general practice involving the EAA during
 construction of an experimental plane.

Best wishes and rapid progress on this work wishes you

 Klaus

The Tech Counselor cannot make an entry in your log but you can make the entry that he/she came by and the Tech Counselor will fill out a visit form you can attach. Don't know how far that will go but it sure won't hurt.

I wish my experience with the EAA was that positive.

What few times I have asked something from EAA , it always came with a price tag associated to it.
Not what I expected. Either that or I did not fit the click!

I do have an A&P friend that has taken a peek though.
