Stubborn little bugger !!!

I had to support the back of the spar with a 2x4, then hammer the rivet stem until it got through.
Then I pulled it from the back with pliers.

The remaining material (rivet less the stem) came out easily by pulling from the from, with pliers.

Geez, what an experience !
Thanks to all that provided suggestions.
