Has anyone any experience of flying permit aircraft in Greece, and in
particular of the current state of special permission needed or not?

I always have considered it an unfriendly place since the Hull Plane
spotters were locked up. ......Not that long since it was a dictatorship!

David why don't you ask AOPA, they will have a contact for the Greek AOPA
people who will be able to advise. Greek AOPA are working hard to encourage
visitors.
AOPA is your best insurance against the CAA and well worth joining.

Bob, I have also viewed it with deep suspicion in the same way that I also
viewed Italy, but our recent trips round Italy have shown it to be a great
and friendly place to fly (possibly as long as you cross their border to
another Schengen country), and the recent article in Flyer seemed to imply
that they thoroughly enjoyed their trip and had no problems, but
unfortunately I have been unable to contact the author.
