Lynn,
I think you got the answer, but just in case, mine was
from Lockwood. I saved $10 by not getting the hose
barbs with it since I will be using the compression
fittings.

No, Kurt, I didn't get the answer. What model, size fittings, etc, is
yours? My Jabiru engine uses AN6 size fittings....I just by-passed the
oil cooler because the temps weren't coming up, but may soon have to go
back to the cooler, as the weather warms up. Does the oil thermostat
completely block the flow of oil when the temp is cool? I hope not
because my set-up is out of an oil filter adapter, through the oil
cooler (or in my case right now, by-passing the cooler), then back
through the oil filter adapter.

Hi Lynn,
This should work for you too. The basic unit has pipe
thread ports where you put in the fittings you
require. I think it normally comes with hose barbs,
but I didn't get them so that I could screw in AN
fittings.
This one is made for Rotax 912-914's. No instructions
in mine, but the Lockwood cataloge has a picture that
is pretty clear. It is supposed to bypass until 180+
F is reached, then the flow goes to the cooler. Below
180, the flow is just sent back along your cooler
return line as if it had gone thru the cooler. You'll
need 2 more hoses to put it together. Probably add 3
lbs with the hoses and extra oil in them.
That is all the info I have. It is the only one
Lockwood has - page 151 of their catalog.
