Finally after moving from Mobile, Al to Tucson, AZ, storing my airplane in a RV storage shed, finding a hanger to rent at Ruby Star Airpark, moving my airplane again, and reassembly, I finally had my first flight in AZ yesterday! My 65 BHP BMW did OK considering the airstrip was at 4000 ft. I only did one time around the pattern but will now start more extensive flying. I still need to stay close to the airstrip for awhile because nothing but desert in the area and it is to rough for a safe landing. Attached is a picture of my ground check (with the tail tied down) prior to taking off.
