Hi group!

Last weekend, I went to Les Faucheurs de Marguerite, one of the biggest flyin we have around here. They got 3000 visitors this year. More than 200 aircraft went to the "rendez-vous".

Flying there was OK despites poor performance due to temperatures and humidity. On my way back, the engine went rough a few times. I decided to fly IFR ("I follow roads") just in case something goes wrong.  Just as I was approaching CZBM, 25 minutes away from my airport CSB3, it went rough again... I told my passenger (who did'nt notice a thing) that we will do a stop in Bromont; he said "COOL!". I climbed to 3200 feet and flew over the airport. I decided to do the approach as if I did not want to rely on the engine for final approach. That went very well (I practice forced landings often when I fly alone - approaching and landing on idle).

Once on the ground, I turned the prop by hand and could hear a "click" in the engine at every four strokes... yark! I decided to leave the plane there. My wife took a car ride to get us back and Thursday, me and a friend put the plane on a trailer to bring it back.

I decided to stop maintaining the Soob engine. I have a brand  new Franklin in my garage since more than 3 years and I don't work enough on it... now that my plane is dismantled, I hope it will be easier to find the time. This weekend, I built a box to store and protect the wings (good first step).

So; not a pilot for a while; back to be a builder.

ps: if I can find how to update my web site; I will (but I don't have Front page anymore so it might take time).
