I'm curious as to how those with the EIS engine monitor have connected the Rotax tach wires to your box. Is there a resistor (series or what) or just straight in? Any special mods required by EIS?
How about Dynon users?
I'm trying to get my Blue Mountain EFIS tach working correctly and trying to see how other companies do it.
Thanks

Jim;
If you are talking about the Grand Rapids EIS Give Greg a call, he furnished
a diagram to me when I was wiring the Rotax Engine sensors to the monitor.
Yes his name is Greg also.
Has the weather improved to a point that you can fly regular now. Augustene
said to tell you and Heather Hello from her.

Hi Jim
You need to speak to Ira about that one, he has been flying with an EFIS one
for some considerable time.

Ira certainly has a solution. I have also seen a solution using a
westach magnetic sensor sensing the prop revolutions and getting the
BM EFIS to multiply up by the gearbox ratio. The advice from Greg
(BMA) was not to take the output of the rotax tacho anywhere near the
EFIS box - the voltages were too high and risked damaging the EFIS.
Still a long way from hitching up the BMA ourselves so this is all
advice from others.
