I found a hole wearing through the radiator hose of the Kolbra yesterday. The only reason I found it was because a fellow pilot sprung a leak on his 912 Titan on his way to Idaho a week ago. That part of the hose cannot be seen in a preflight without feeling the back of it. It was rubbing against the vent tube of the oil canister which even had a rubber sheath around it to protect it from wearing through.

Chris and others, I won't get the Kolbra fixed before Oshkosh so I will be driving in. I want to replace both the inlet and outlet hoses.
The hose is made by "Gates". I wonder if it's a specialty hose or typical auto radiator hose?

Ralph B:
I use/used Gates or any other premium 1" ID radiator hose for my three 912
engines.
