G-GIDY took to the air for the first time today.



A mere 12 1/2 years in the making (500 hours eh!!).



Went up with test pilot Paul for the 2nd (1 hour) flight - what a privilege.



To anyone who has helped us with a query over the years many many thanks.



Particular thanks to Graham and Neil.  Here's a couple of pics

so glad it went well, I told you it would be worth it! I was sad not to be there but I had made an arrangement I couldn't break. Tell Nellie to get himself checked out on monowheels, we need another mono P1 for emergencies!

Very well done! I know how you felt having recently done my first flight in April after a very long build, over 10 years, off and on. Now the fun begins. Beautiful aircraft indeed. You should be very proud. This should be inspiration for those still building to get cracking and get 'er dun! Can't wait to see some more pix, (of the cockpit).

To all   Thanks for all the kind comments. Just done 2 hr endurance flight

today. Minor issues mainly with Blue Mountain EFIS. Airframe and engine

sweet as a nut.

It is particularly pleasing to see another Mono has been born!



The colour of my face is much the same as the grass in your photo mate.
