I have had a minor squeal in one brake and have taken them apart yet never find a problem or a cure. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do for it? Its only there when the brake s are not applied. Tex

We get it once in a while seems to be a bit of glazing on the disc, goes away after a few landings.

I used to get it on a car, when it drove me nuts enough I pulled the pads and it was them that had shined up.
I just used to emery up the brake material and again it went away.
But it usually came back.
It in one old car I had it had shims that only covered half the brake pad to sort of tip the pad over a few thou.
When I threw them away as they were corroded the brakes started to squeal....

I used to have a squealing squeaking problem with my brakes. I found this stuff called "Disk Brake Quiet" made by CRC Industries Inc. in Warminster, PA 18974 800-521-3168. It worked for me. It is a rubber spray that absorber the vibrations that cause the squealing.
