OK Guys It has been a very busy last couple of weeks and we felt that it
was time for a brief update.

1st.. I would really like to thank everyone for the incredible support and
offers of assistance. What a great feeling !

Our primary focus is to support the Kitfox builders with the manufactured
parts needed. While the cleanup and organization is on going, we are
starting to produce parts.

We have secured a lease using the existing facility at the Caldwell airport.
We are actively working towards our new facility.

We will be producing full kits in the fall.

Airshows We are going to be at Oshkosh.. North Aircraft Display space 426.
We are working on a parking area for Kitfoxs in the custom built area just
to the East of space 426.

And last but not least.. The name..

KITFOX Aircraft LLC

We are working on a web now In the mean time visit www.sportplanellc.com
<http://www.sportplanellc.com/> for updated info.. There will be a link
from there to the new site when it is up and running.

Thanks for the update, John. Good luck to you! Is the brand Skystar dead
now? Are you putting out a press release?

WOW John,

You are coming up to speed fast!

My guess with that name you are going to build....
ahhh

KitFox's? Smile

It doesn't get any better than this. What a great
future for the KitFox airplanes.

The new name makes perfect sense. I never understood where the name Sky Star
came from. Besides, it's not a SkyStar aircraft, it's a KITFOX. This is more
great news John, can't wait to check out the new web site.

Hi Roger,
The original Kitfox company was Denney Aerocraft. This left room for other
projects besides the Kitfox kit. SkyStar continued in this vein, and for a
while had the Pulsar kits.
Cheers,
bh

John and Debra

Sounds right to me! The name is good and sensible. Are there
any longer control sticks for the V than the ones in mine (N24ZM)? Are
there any augmentation kits for the seats to raise the bottom and to
bring forward the back? I have rigged some cushions which work well, but
a more permanent solution would be nice. I find that the visibility is
much improved by adding something to the seat, both bottom and back (I
am fairly normal sized at 5'10", 190lb). My instructor thinks that the
control stick should be longer to de-sensitize and to help with the high
forces. (I haven't yet installed the "help me Joe" kit that I purchased
from you, but he thinks that this is an issue beyond what the
spring/flap coupling kit will address. I want to see what I think after
installing it.
But now that I have some experience with the airplane, I am
thinking that the elevator could have benefited from the classic forward
of hinge line portion on the outer extremity, as is done on so many
airplanes to act as servo. I realize that this is not just a matter of
changing the elevator, but the stabilizer plan profile also. My
instructor and I are very impressed with the aileron response and the
very nimble roll rate, and neither he nor I feel any concern about
rudder force, and after all, our legs are pretty strong. (My point
there is that rudder servo isn't something that is needed.) Now, I do
realize that my machine has a 'heavy' engine relative to design spec,
and I have read on the list that some folks claim much improvement by
the addition of say, 10lb in the tail. If that would be a good
solution, I would consider the idea of a tool locker back there
(something useful, not just total dead weight).
Answer me only at your convenience, working these things in as
can be gracefully done on your end, and after you have had a chance to
think about and process these issues. Please do not feel burdened by
any of these questions and comments, I lodge them with you because you
are the major source of knowledge about Kitfoxes, and my first source
for things I need to support mine. And now that you are the factory,
this is good for all of us as owner/pilots, and I, for one, want it to
be a good thing for you all there too.
