A Big Thanks to you for all of your effort and sharing. While I still have a little to go it will be a big time saver for me.

will send to all not previously sent. I have two parts - the Flight
Manual and the QRH (Quick Reference Handbook). They are both a work in progress
and some have said they are worth exactly what you pay for them. : )
The Flight Manual is intended to be a 8.5x11 stay-at-home document with
lots of detail and photos and can be stored electronically and printed. It
is in Word format and can be put in a normal binder. In electronic form,
the electric and fuel system diagrams could be interactive - that is, a switch
could be turned on and everything powered by that switch would activate on
the diagram. There's probably a skilled guy out there who can do a better
job than me at putting together such diagrams, but I will work on them,
too. It just seems like flying gets in the way of that important work.
My QRH, or Checklist, is an in-cockpit document that includes all of the
things necessary to carry in the plane - as well as the normal and emergency
checklists.
I believe that, as a group, we could come up with a generic flight manual
and checklist that RV-8 builders could then modify to their personal
airplanes. There's no point in each builder reinventing the POH/Flight Manual
and QRH/Checklist. We could have an electronic version that is easy to trade
among ourselves and someone could be the central point for updates and
changes to them. I think it would make life easier for everyone and
eventually we would have a nice product.
I still have lots of work to do on my Flight Manual and I will get back to
work on it. As it develops, I will post it on my web site for others to
consider. We can post other guy's POHs there also if they will permit.
Then a new builder would have a single point to access drafts or examples from
which to build his own personalized documents. Same could be true for the
Checklist/QRH.
Thoughts?
