Fuel gauge question

Ralph-

IME, this is common with this type of gauge. When I first got mine I observed the same thing you did and had Van's send me a couple gauges and senders. I found two that behaved similarly, kept and installed them and sent the others back. As long as they seem to respond normally to the presence/absence of fuel when the system is energized I would leave them alone. Mine still act properly and the same after 13 yrs in the air.

Thanks Gary,

Dan Baier posted some documentation on the Yahoo site. I'll be reviewing the wiring and probably swapping the guages left for right (that's a pretty easy test).

Glad to hear it's not an isolated incident.

the dampener is out in the guage. it is not electrical
