I had just invited him to speak at a WW1 monument dedication that is being relocated to my airport on March 19 2011. His spokesman David Dejonge informed me he was unable to travel anymore, but would try to get a letter from him for me to read at the ceremony. That was on his birthday Feb. 1st. I'm not sure if he was able to get it done before his death or not. I hope he did.

Feb 1, 2011 is a date of particular importance to me too. My mother passed away during her regular after-breakfast nap. Peacefully and having been of sound mind working her computer Skyping her kids who are scattered all over the world, at the age of 92.
