G'day Bob,

Is cotton-based phenolic sheet or rod considered adequately fireproof for a
machined firewall passthrough?

Not really....some I've seen have temp ratings of 165-265F. Its more of an electrical insulator....but I'm no expert.

You can get fire-retardant phenolic, which means some is and some
isn't. Make sure you use the right one.
