Oil and fuel

Back during the Pleistocene I was involved with 2-stroke motorcycles. Older guys told me that extra oil can form an insulating barrier between the cylinder skirts and the cylinder and cause a siezure. Makes me go Hmmmmm! Maybe it was a lean condition instead or along with.
