				John:

The rule of thumb for an aluminum prop is 2" per blade.
So, reduce by 2" going from a 2 blade to a 3 blade and another 2" going to a 4 blade.
NOW!  The pitch INCREASES 1" above MAX when going from a 2 blade to a 3 blade...
So, if you were at 60" of pitch on a 2 blade you go to a 61" on a three blade and then a 63" on a 4 blade.
The other rule of thumb is:  You will loose 50 RPM for every inch of increase pitch and gain 50 RPM for every inch of decrease in diameter.

The ONLY final test is TEST - TEST - TEST.

We are currently using a 68" 3-blade GSC prop on our Zodiac 601HD with R912S.  We are happy with it, but the ground clearance is not great for grass strips.  I saw a recent reference to a Warp Drive 4-blade prop.  If we went to a 4-blade prop, by how much would the prop diameter be reduced?
