What a great video. Beautiful scenery!

I've never seen landing gear like that. Is that a modified Grove or total custom job?

 Ron:

I bought this plane originally in 1997. I was the third owner. It was TD and had a gray head 582. I flew it until 2004. At that time I bought a Jabiru 2200 and the FWF kit to install it in the Kitfox. Since the plane was at that time in need for a complete restoration, I decided to sell the plane to a friend, and install the Jabiru engine in a new plane. Since this happen after Skystar closed, and before John McBean took over Kitfox factory, I bought a Rans S6.

My friend (Noel) decided that he wanted a tricycle plane and, with support from this list (pictures and tech info provided mainly by Steve Wilson and Dave from Ontario, Canada), made the conversion using a Rans S-12 nose gear. In addition, switched to a Grove main gear.

Last summer, my friend had to quit flying due to medical issues, and I bought the Kitfox back in a partnership with a common friend of us (Henry). At that time, the new blue head 582 had 4 hours.

I love Kitfoxes, particularly the folding wings. I missed so much that tailwheel

It is a Grove. The previous owner decided to add those aluminums tubes for support.

 Roger:

I used a GroPro Hero 2 Motorsports. This was the very first time I used it. I ordered it from GoPro (at) $300 (separately (at) $25 (separately(at)$25)) to attach it to the wing strut tube (no fairing). For struts with farings there are Curved Adhesive Mounts (included). Highly recommended!
