Indeed he did. Remember it was Lenin that coined the phrase "Forward". So there is a big cross roads coming on Americans on 6 Nov 2012. The vote you cast will have long reaching effects for not only America but the world. The future of general aviation is at stake also among many other issues. The choice is a simple one. An increased Nanny State with more entitlements or preservation of the Republic by preservation of our Constitutional rights.
The choice is will be yours to make of your free will. Will it be so in 3 years? Will we still have a free airspace unencumbered by user fees and TSA/ Homeland Security bureaucracy? The list is long that could be gashed over. The camel has his nose under our tent what we do from here will determine if if ransacks the tent.
Vote wisely. "The heart of a wise man is at his right hand. The heart of a fool is at his left hand"
Ecclesiastes
"Communism. Lousy politics. Great airplanes" your vote will determine which we enjoy in the future.
McCarthyism, you have your head in the sand or somewhere else.

Even though this is exactly the place to talk about everything and all that affects our pilot community, some get weak at the knees at political discussion or polite disagreement. There is nothing wrong with a good debate of the ideas. This country was set up and founded on the idea that people can disagree, call each other names, voice an opposing oppinion and in the end come back together while preparing for the next battle. This is the basis of our political process and what makes this country great. That being said, I am well aware of the horror some people get riddled with when political talk enters the room. So, those of you that enjoy polite political discussion and oppinions, no matter what your leanings, I have a facebook page where this takes place on a daily basis. Some of the forum are already participants and all are welcome. If you feel the need to vent or have an open discussion, I invite you to come join.

Well said Doc! Our EAA chapter just had CarolAnn Garratt (multiple round the world single engine flights) as a speaker. Just hearing the difficulties for GA around the world sends chills up my spine. Even Europe is very difficult. We must stop the move toward socialism in this country or face the same restrictions on our everyday flying.
