I am using solid state relays instead of the typical coil and contacts
for my main power and starter. The only problem is they are
unidirectional. Standard procedure is to connect the power from the
alternator on the switched side of the contactor. The problem is this
will not charge the battery. I can possibly get a bidirectional relay.
Any ideas? The relays I am using are Power-Gate by Perfect Switch.

Why not use their bi-directional relay?
