Have any of you Left Coast Yakkistas put your bird on skis yet? I mean Snow in the Valley; the Ice Age cometh.

I've wondered the same thing...a wee bit "dirty" flying I suspect...signed, from the Tundra...where the cold wind blows...and we never eat the yellow snow...

Yakovlev made a fair number of ski kits to fit 52s for winter use. I believe Russian engineering in the UK have a set, which they were keen to sell.

I know where there is a set. They have air operated "claws" on the bottom of the main wheel skis that assist breaking and turning.
