Steve,
Years ago when that plane was in Oshkosh I asked about the paint, from what I remember it was a custom mix neon auto finish with flex agent added, very catchy but not as durable on fabric.

Last time I saw it the paint had faired badly over the years. It looked pretty sad.

That's what they told me also, my model 5 has a similar paint scheme BUT I am in the process of building a r/c model and was trying to find out that color or at least what company made it . My son and I saw the speedster just before it was sold , pretty faded at that time but still ok . Thanks for the reply

I found this picture yesterday while looking for something else. Hope it helps. I too recall that the paint was custom mixed and an auto paint.
