Cannot say for sure as I only have one channel EGT. But it runs smooth and as
I keep going lean of peak the power just drops off never any roughness.
Another Cj-6 that I fly has a 9 Ch. EGT on a M14 with throttle body fuel injection
and all 9 cyl stay very even and you can lean to cut off with no roughness.

What are the exact meanings of the Chinese characters in the image below. From the discussion in this thread the Mixture ones I presume relate to Altitude in "Thousands of Metres", but what are they exactly ?

One or two are missing in this image

"Abandon hope all ye who enter here" - or something close.

In Mandarin you could render it as "there's still time to buy a Yak"
Sorry not to be of more help
 Cheers

Some characters are missing in your labels, but they look to be the following:
The top label is "throttle control"; and
The bottom label is "high altitude adjustments".
To counter John's translation, the above labels also mean "I fly faster and further than Yak's"

Found these on the backseat Mixture quadrant. Buried under paint and other crap. Only visible after a really good clean

Join me on the Field of Honor in a Sporting Contest of Speed in the AirVenture Cup. On July 19th the race starts from Mt. Vernon, IL (KMVN)and winds it's way up to Wausau, WI (KAUW), some 410NM. See the AVC website for entry info. Pay the fee by June 1st and save $10.

Then will be the separation of Winners from the Wieners and Whiners. There are classes for both CJ's and Yaks. Be there and Walk the Talk.

Are CJ's with "big motors" competing against those with stock motors? Or are they in a class to themselves? JB

				hello ,

read this from my engine manual (Huosai HS6A)
 4. Operation of the altitude governor for carburetor :

Carburetor attitude governor is used for adjusting the mixture ratio at altitude, usually for climbing or level flight higher than 500 m. altitude. The method of operation as follows:

 a. Set the pitch changing control lever in the lower pitch position.

 b. First fix the throttle in the required- operating speed position, then slowly move altitude control lever to the "full close, direction, un til the rotating speed reaches max. value (i.e. the speêd. will drop for further advancing the lever)..

 c. Pull back the altitude control lever to "full open" direction, fix it until the rotating speed drops slightly.

 d. Adjust the engine to wanted rating with the throttle and the pitch changing control lever.

 Best Regards
 Bruno
