I wish to hear from Kitfox owners in Eastern Canada, the Maritimes. I live near Halifax in Nova Scotia and have bought a Kitfox IV 1050 built (very well) by Glen McGuigan of New Brunswick. I have to replace parts in the wings and while the build manual is reasonably clear it is always nice to have experienced builders around. I only know one other Kitfox owner in the area, I'm sure there are a couple more.

The Beothuck Explorer is a Kitfox III-A on Areocet straight floats.  The engine is a 582 grey head upgraded to spec99 swinging an Ivo in-flight adjustable through a 1:2.58 "B" box.

Oh yes I'm located at Campbellton, NL.  About an hours ride from Gander Intl.  CYQX

Hi Dave,

I am in Montreal and building a Classic IV.

I do not know of any builders in Atlantic Canada that are on the list.

You might try accessing the Transport Canada Aircraft Register if you wish to find owners near you.
look at: www.tc.gc.ca/avaition/activepages/ccarcs/en/default_e.asp

Regards,

Doug Remoundos

No, but there are no listings near here on that site. I was surprised to go to an apparent kitfox site, and get nude pictures in the photos section. What's a FRAPPR anyway?

I never got the time today to measure the angle of incidence but I was talking to a long time bush pilot who told me that usually the angle of incidence will be between 3 and 5 degrees.  He also said that after five degrees any plane will mush before flying and be very squirrelly landing.  I'll try to get the measurements off my plane tomorrow.
