Hello Graeme,

Hi Michel, I remember a while back there was some discussion on the GPS you are
using in your Fox. I believe it also had other functions such as mobile phone and
email.

What I have is a Garmin iQue M5 PDA+GPS. In the PDA, I use a program called PocketFMS. See www.pocketfms.com
I am very pleased with the Garmin and the program PocketFMS.
But first, the PDA.
You can find several PDA. Some have in-built cell phone. Some have in-built GPS. I don't know if any has both. If you go for a PDA with GSM (cell phone) then you can still use a Bluetooth connection for a remote GPS. Likewise for a cell phone.
PDAs come with Microsoft Mobile Windows 2000 or higher. You can use that to browse the internet and send/receive email.
The Garmin M5 is excellent but maybe a bit pricey. You can get PDA+GPS cheaper like the Mio, Navman or Acer.
About PocketFMS.
Once you have a PDA, you can test various programs that does about the same but, IMHO, PocketFMS is the best. It is still free (but with poorer quality maps) and can be downloaded from the internet. You then use it on your PC to plan your flights, then you sync with your PDA and your flight plan is now in your hand, ready to be used with the moving map when flying.
The "high quality" maps requires a "donation" of USD 60. Most people think it's worth it. But you can try first the free version and see if you like it. Good luck.
Cheers,
Michel
