I cannot recall what the substance was that I apparently was under the influence of when I stupidly purchased the "folding wing option".
Bottom line: After you get all the parts fitted to make wings, fuselage, tail feathers, etc; and have all these bolted together to resemble an airplane you will see that aforesaid option is not what you may have envisioned.
Others may view this feature differently, but I'd not reccomend it.

I purchased it and did not install it. I agree it is not recommended.
