Some very interesting discussions...
Quick update... As some know, we have been planning and proceeding with
moving the company to another location. That location is Homedale Idaho..
As a Kitfox flys it is approx 12.5 miles west of the Caldwell airport and is
located on the Snake River. The excavation has been done, permits in place
and the building should be started shortly... If all goes as planned we will
be moving in August.
We are also going to be at Oshkosh in the North Aircraft display space 426..
Hope to see a lot of you there...
We are continuing to support the full Kitfox line and will continue to do
so... Our first complete firewall back and firewall forward kit went out
last week and we have several wing kits in progress now.
The rumor that we are discontinuing the Model IV is not technically correct.
The Model IV will be available but will not currently be offered as a kit
package...
Our focus is currently on a Model we are calling the Super Sport. What is
the Super Sport ? Well as you know Denney had a great idea to produce a
real aircraft that was light, simple and easy to build with great short
field performance and folding wings that evolved into the Model IV....
Along came the Series 5 as a larger and faster Kitfox that allowed for
larger power plants... We are taking advantage of some of the ideas from the
larger Kitfox and bringing it back towards its roots.... The round cowling
is coming back and we are going to introduce a 750 lb empty weight aircraft
that will take advantage of the LSA rule completely with a 1320 gross weight
on it's gear, a 1420 gross weight on floats and a 1550 lb gross weight
option.
Fly Safe !!

Hey, that's Nez Perce country, John! No, I have never been there and I am not a living encyclopedia but Dee has sent me some bungees and a few touristic leaflets about Idaho.
John, after I asked about the leaf spring, several listers wrote me privately that I should ask you. Of course, I should. But I figured that a direct email to you woulnd't go faster than the list and that you were reading both.
Now it is too late, Lowell has sent me his spare spring by FedEx, but next time I need something, I'll ask you first. Like all Kitfox owners, I am very grateful that you took over the company and keep on supporting us. Next time I need something be assured that you will be the first one I ask.
Cheers,
Michel

John,
Thank you very much for the update. I'm very glad you're bringing
back the round cowl, as I think it was one of Kitfox's stronger marketing
points. I'm also glad your bringing the aircraft back to it's light-weight
roots, as I thought Skystar would soon be building tube and rag 172's. One
question. Why the move? I would think that would be very expensive.
