Laughing? Not at all, at the contrary! This can be just as nice as T-6
racing in Reno.
Is it a race with only Yak 52? That would make it a real race.

YES Jan, only Yak-52 in the Vintage Class Races !
As you can see on the photos below.
Some with stock Vedeneyev M-14P, 2 bladed Russian prop ...
Some with M-14PF and 3 bladed MT prop ...
Some with a combination of the above ...
In 2014 in Cascais, they had a Yak-50 ... it won by quite a margin 
It was quite an effort to get "janie" to Portugal ... from Belgium ... trough France, Spain ...

Not laughing, I encourage the competition....but the Yak, now that reminds me of the old scene from a Disney animated feature: The Waltz of the Hippos......

I thought there were five CJ-6s flying in Europe?
One (BZHB) is being re-engined with an M14P as I speak (so technically not flying, I suppose) at White Waltham. CJSA (mine) and BVVG are alive and well also at White Waltham with Harv's at Redhill and Bruno's in France (which also used to live at White Waltham).
Some of the guys flew four of them together a couple of years ago (a first in Europe - I was banging around in an A320 somewhere annoyingly), hopefully something we'll be able to repeat.
If you need another Yak-52 to race, we have YAKH which works fine when we can get it started (slow turn over using a lot of air each time - no obvious leaks though - any ideas?). I give it 50/50 it could make it as far as Portugal (in fact, I give it 50/50 it could make it further than the Isle of Wight  ) but I'm sure I could rustle up a couple of others.
Anyway, if I enter in one of the CJs, we could all save a lot of money by just mailing the trophy to White Waltham.
