Thinking more about it and looking at the photos of the broken rod. Mine look a lot different from that in the photo, much thicker diameter. I recall Lance asking me to send him photos of my pushrods at one time, and him telling me I had the “new” version of NSI pushrod. The older version, probably the one Mike Harter had break on him, was the same diameter as mine but had a different machined transition at the end where it swages onto to factory end piece. There used to be photos on some website showing the difference.

Lance once told me they use the stock pushrod ends however they replace the actual rod with an aluminum rod.
