Not all CJ's are tuned the same way. I have seen wide differences in idle mixture and jetting as well as condition of the spark interrupter and magneto setting. Primers vary too in their "tightness" and pilot technique.

Seems to be the procedure the previous owner showed me,works.
What about starts when engine is warm?
Stop to put fuel or restaurant?
No primming? one or two shots?
