Hi Tom,
Well, every day is a school day!
22 gallons weighs about 150 pounds, yes? Wing Commander Gordon may have some input on the Weight & Balance perspective, I hope.
I'm pretty sure that the factory auxiliary baggage tank was connected to the main center fuel tank through the two multibolt fittings where the fuel sump and the fuel quantity transmitter were located. I don't think it was necessary to pump fuel to the center tank, the two acted like one tank.
I'll certainly look forward to seeing the pictures!
Very Best Regards,
Barry

I'm not sure if I got this right.
First I thought your Email was a joke in reference to the seven hours of duration, so I laughed, but then I thought you might be asking a valid question.
So, funny if it was a joke, more detail if it was a question.

My current setup is that the 1" tube leaving the oil separator goes into a
"T", one 1/2" tube exits into the exhaust stream and the other 1" tube
connects to the original tube extending through the wheel well. A portion
of that tube in the wheel well has been cut-out and replaced with a rubber
hose thus allowing the wear indicators on the Cleveland brakes to compress
the rubber hose. The other engine does not have the rubber hose but the 1"
tube is still cut making room for the Clevelands and the wear indicators
have (almost dented) rubbed the paint of the underside of the wheel well.

All,
Increasing the endurance of the aeroplane is one thing, increasing the endurance of the pilot is another, as the years go on, the reality is quite the opposite. I "can" get 6 hours plus VFR reserve out of the 500A, but me, that's another thing altogether.
Cheers,
Bill Hamilton

Hi Tom,
I don't have a copy of the Drawing, but have picked the number up from various sources during the course of my research.
If they can locate it at Twin Commander, you may be able to get a copy from them, at a price!
If you decide you would like a copy, although I'm sure that fuel tank system is different to yours, then email their Librarian Gladys Cool at gwcool(at)twincommander.com (gwcool(at)twincommander.com) and I'm sure she will try and help you.
Very Best Regards,
Barry

What will happen at Twin Commander is I will pay for drawings that do not match my installation, I need to try and find the STC (if any) that his job was done under, the previous owner is of no help "the paper work should be with the logs".

We put M-20 Oil separators on a 680FP N6762X and my 560F N222WL. They work great on my 560F and finally worked well on the 680FP after modifying the drain.

I have two springs. What is wrong with yours? Also, are you still using Skydrol?

The oil breather pipe in the wheel well should have been disconnected years ago. It was replaced by the Breather outlet in the exhaust chute on top of the nacelle. I have a copy of the service bulletin if you need it.

Harry sent me a copy of the STC and it shows just that. My installation has the exhaust chute pipe but is teed to the original pipe going through the wheel well.

I am responding to your request of dates regarding various radar domes changes on my plane.
I reviewed all the paperwork that came with the plane and other than the Miller nose I see nothing else regarding the nose cone.
I will get the propeller info and I have taken pictures of the tank installation to be sent soon.

I'll check the springs I have and see how much corrosion, if any, they have.
