Greetings,
It seems the only thing keeping me from flying the Slingshot now is a dead ignition. I'm doing some final measurements today, but I'm betting one of the ignition modules is dead. Naturally, these things are just stupid expensive, like everything else for a 912.
Does anyone happen to have one of the 4-wire plug modules they'd sell at a more reasonable price? It's a long shot, but it never hurts to ask.

Check with Lockwood and see if your module is eligible for discounted replacement. You might find a bit better price.

That's something to hope for I guess. I did hear there were some known issues, and assuming I don't find anything obvious tomorrow, I was already planning to send both modules to Lockwood for testing, and possible replacement. It would be great if it was cheaper than list.

No such luck on reduced pricing. That deal ended a long time ago I guess. I ultimately decided to just replace both modules since they're 17 years old, and one is already dead.

We have ignition. I guess $1800 was enough to keep the Rotax gods happy for now... I wish my brakes worked better, but it's not enough of a problem to keep me from flying.

Yikes! When I replaced the modules on a 912ULS they were $900 for the pair but that was because the originals were defective from the factory.
