Hello,

  

     I fly an Aero Commander 680 FLP with the Mr. RPM  Conversion.  The R/engine RPM gage went to zero on landing last week.   Maintenance just told me that the speedometer type cable between the  accessory housing of the engine and the tach generator has split.  The  options are go digital or find a new cable.  According to Mr. RPM, there  are no such cables to be had through normal channels.  

  

     Sooo...I'm back to asking for help from everyone on this  Aero Commander website. Does anyone have such a part, or knows where I  can get such a part.  I don't have a part number, but I could get it  if needed.  Please contact me by email at hcourier(at)cox.net (hcourier(at)cox.net). with availability and  price information.

How long is the cable? The T6 Texan used the same setup. I'll check with my  supplier to see if any are available.

I am most certain that if you were to give Arnold Blankenship a phone call 

he would do his level best to help you out. He has never failed me! Most 

times his help is immediate, other times it takes him a while to come up to 

speed on the MR RPM products. I have nothing but respect for Arnold.

Hi Mike,



    Got in touch with Arnold, but he doesn't have any tach cables and is 

having difficulty locating one for another plane.  I contacted Aircraft 

Spruce and they can custom make such cables but there's a 6 week lead time 

involved.  You noted in your email that you "have a couple in stock...". 

Does that mean in stock for sale or in stock for your needs.  If you have 

one for sale we are interested and would like to buy one.  Let me know the 

status in that regard.



    Am also going to contact Mason Chevaillier as he said he may know 

someone.
