Well, after a bit of work, the framework for my hangar door is ready to be raised to the hinge bar (See photo). The framework is 40' at the bottom and 30' at the top and weighs (est) approx 350-400lbs. I just need to stand it on its bottom side (side nearest front in photo) - so only need to tilt the framework up 90 deg from its position on the floor. Place a few clamps to hold things in place and I can proceed from that point.
I believe either 3 old cougars and/or 6 young studs could do the job. So if you fit into either category and have the time and interest, I could use your assistance. I estimate it should not take over 30 minutes (actually more like 15 seconds) to raise the framework.
I am hoping for this Saturday AM probably around 1030 or whenever sufficient bodies show up.
Thanks in advance
Ed

Ed,
Will one old geezer be of any worth? (A geezer is a little older than a cougar!) Anyway, I should be around to assist in the momentous movement.
BTW is a Door raising anything like Hell raising?

Well, we can hand the old geezer the horse whip to keep everyone else toeing the line.
Thanks, Dale

How about an old geezer. Just remind me.
Also do you need the latter before Saturday? If not I will pick it up tomorrow an bring it back on Saturday.
Small project to do at JQF.

Hi Steve,
Finished with the ladder yesterday, so your ladder is yours to take home - thanks, it came in handy putting in those last bolts attaching front sheets to arch. Won't need a tall one on Saturday, I think with the one I have and Bill's short one it will be enough

I hope to be out at the airport Saturday and would be glad to lend a helping
hand.
