Just got back from Oshkosh ... lots of panel goodies available ... my favorite was TruTrak's new EFIS ... they have a DG that lays horizontal (3D) in the middle of the display as if you were looking at your GPS tracking up ... real cool !!! Vans had his new LSA ... the RV-12 on display. Cessna unveiled theirs ...
Had dinner last night with Larry Bowen and Jack. Larry Bowen is going to be a repeat offender ... bought the tail kit for a -7 !!!
James, Ken, and I got to fly in the RV Formation flight at Oshkosh yesterday ... a milestone for me !! We had a 16 ship flight with about 5 -6 passes over the crowd ... Our lead told us on one of the passes to smile .. 100,000 people are waving at you !!!
The place was filled with RVs !!! Over 4700 now flying ... RVs were everywhere. Some really gorgeous ones too !! Had a chance to talk with Van as he was out looking at planes on the line. He said the -3 is still his favorite RV. Said the -7 is the number 1 kit.
Nice trip ... except for the electronic ignition problems I had on the way home today. Spent 4 hours in Cincinnati trying to find the problem. Borrowed a part from a friend there and finished the trip home. Have to overnight his part back to him tomorrowl.
