Hey everybody, I'm trying to find an air compressor for the M-14 on my Yak-50. Anybody have any ideas? Also, Chinese spark plugs for the 285 Husoi?

Hello everyone. I have a bad rubber seal on my CJ6 pressure relief valve
(PRV). Since the replacement parts situation is at a standstill for the
time being, I'm wondering if anyone out there has used something other than
an original chinese stock part successfully to replace the PRV rubber pad.
At first, I thought it was similar to the pad used in the Chinese check
valves but it isn't. It has an additional, smaller diameter disk on the
underside that "plugs in" to the brass piston. In fact, mine looks like
someone may have hand-made it from vulcanizing rubber which worked until it
finally gave up the ghost after 10+ years.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

As people probably know, we test all our engines that we overhaul on a
sophisticated dynamometer at Aerometal in Hungary. However we would like
to update the current engine monitoring system, since we would like to
have a constant readout and recording ability for all engine parameters
such as CHT; EGT; oil temperature in and out; fuel flow; oil pressure;
rpm et cetera.
I would welcome anyone's advice as to the best system to install

i know a guy - 10-something years ago he wrote a complete EFIS and engine monitor
for his sukhoi. there was nothing on the market. the only EFIS was 10" BMA
EFIS One. he had nothing on his panel, just a 12" superbright display with all
the data you can think of. his code and display plus commercial electronics
mounted on the engine.
i'd say: since he wrote it - it's infinitely customizable, can run on a big screen
, display anything you'd like and log it or instantly send it elsewhere. probably
for a fraction of JPI

Hi Darrin;
Sounds like you have a home modified PRV plunger. There is only one "rubber" pad.
That is the one you describe as a "smaller dia disc that plugs into the piston"
I understand the parts supply situation is close to being resolved. If that is
not the case you could send me your plunger and I will install a new 1/16" FKM
Viton disc in it.

Contact Richard Goode for the compressor
Scrap the Chinese wires and plugs and reach to Dennis Saverese for the auto plug conversion.Â

Hello Skip,
After 35 years with these engines, my honest advice is that the automotive spark plug conversion kit with modern leads and really high quality plugs is a huge advance on the 70 year old design, whether Russian or Chinese. And certainly these kits are the best thing you can do for these engines for the money. Dennis Savarese does an excellent kit and there are many hundreds of aircraft flying with it.
And we can supply perfect and zero-timed compressors – please contact me directly.

i'd say: since he wrote it - it's infinitely customizable, can run on a big screen
, display anything you'd like and log it or instantly send it elsewhere. probably
for a fraction of JPI

Hi Darrin;

Hello everyone. I have a bad rubber seal on my CJ6 pressure relief valve (PRV).

it was similar to the pad used in the Chinese check valves but it isn't. It

vulcanizing rubber which worked until it finally gave up the ghost after 10+ years.
Any thoughts?

I am presently out of the overhauled compressors, but Rhonda at Barretts Precision Engines may have them. They are setting up to overhaul tm as well. Â I think Jill at M14P inc can overhaul them as well.
We can offer factory overhauled units, but it will be a month or so with shipping.

Contact Richard Goode for the compressor
Scrap the Chinese wires and plugs and reach to Dennis Saverese for the auto plug conversion.

As people probably know, we test all our engines that we overhaul on a
sophisticated dynamometer at Aerometal in Hungary. However we would like
to update the current engine monitoring system, since we would like to
have a constant readout and recording ability for all engine parameters
such as CHT; EGT; oil temperature in and out; fuel flow; oil pressure;
rpm et cetera.
I would welcome anyone's advice as to the best system to install

A shot in the dark, but I'll ask...
Does anyone have any of the small, clear plastic disks that insert into the
cockpit's pedestal control knobs (over the circular placards)?
See the photo...
My CJ6 is missing a few, and I'd like to replace.
Anyone have 1, 2, or 3 to sell?
Or advice on making my own?
I know what they are and do, just looking to see if anyone has spare
plastic disks. It's the season of chasing down such small items.
Thanks all-
Justin Drafts
