Hey Team, I need some help.
I'm installing instruments. I need to change the0 face on my LRI gauge and don't see how.
I have a Dwyer Minihelic II, pn 2-5002 that I'm0 hooking up to the probe that Scott Laughlin so expertly machined for me months0 ago. The back comes off the gauge but the diaphragm doesn't appear to come out0 without destroying the gauge. The front lens appears to be glued on. Do I0 separate the lens from the housing or go in from the back?
Once inside the gauge, there are two screws holding0 the existing face solid. Do I take that off, or do I work between the needle and0 faceplate to glue on the new face?
Details on or off list appreciated.0 Thanks!

Paul- I had the same problem. Put the0 guage in your palm and twist. The face will unscrew with a good effort. 0 Regards,

Hi Paul,
The front lens unscrews with a bit of effort. Then you unscrew the two little screws and the face falls off. I painted mine with artist's acrylic paint and then put it all back together. I also made a big scratch in the lens and ordered another one from the manufacturer for a few dollars.
Good luck,
Paul

Paul, I took the white face plate off by the two little screws. Then I carefully pushed the two rubber stop pegs out. I glued the new face (that Scott was kind enough to send me and whom0I owe) to the metal plate, pushed an ice pic through the holes and reinstalled the rubber pegs. Looks like a pro did it. Best regards, Bill 0

Bill:
What glue did you use to attach the new face?

George, so that the paper face lays flat and not have any peeks or valleys I took Elmer's yellow glue, added0a couple drops of water and brushed it on the plate face smooth, let it set0a couple moments and pushed on the paper face. Best regards, Bill
