Hi everyone. I am new to your list. I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Chris. I have had a Sony ES 910 for years and am now finally starting to build out the system. I recently picked up an XDP-210EQ. I looked for a 4000 for a while, but they seem to be very hard to come by. My first question is regarding the XA-D210/211 adaptor. I have been trying to pick one up for a while. There were two on ebay just recently, but I lost out on both auctions. Anyway, I been through your archives researching alternatives to the adaptor. I was specifically looking for the actual pinout for the plug. I know there are three different channels, VCC, Data, and Ground. What I couldn’t find is which ring on the plug is which? The reason I ask is because, I found this converter, http://cgi.ebay.com/Audio-Authority-977T-977TPO-Digital-Converter_W0QQitemZ5805001032QQihZ008QQcategoryZ14968QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem. I believe it will work if you
could get a cable with the correct plug configuration on the head unit end. Any thoughts, opinions, or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Chris

Chris,
I was in the same boat as you about the XA-D211, I called everywhere and scoured the net, got the same answer from all "sorry we don't sell that anymore". You just have to be prepared to pay the premium on ebay, do the last minute snyper thing. I got lucky, I bought a second C90 for a spare, and the adapter came with it , and it was not even disclosed in the auction. Good luck finding one.
