Found a place to upload digital videos for free.
And it actually seems to work most of the time.

Now that was pretty cool! I gave the first rating on the Coming Home vid, sorry they only allowed a 5! Sure hope you live in one of those couple of mini-mansions at the end of the runway, if not, they might get weary of the low flying possums out there!

But how did you mount your camera? Hand holding one, could not really be safe? Could it?

Actually - I had one of these things rigged up on my helmet, but have
since replaced the whole thing with a small Sanyo High Definition
Digital camera without all the wires (little thing has a 4 GB memory card).

As far as the neighbors go - no complaints yet - We were flying out
of there 12 years before they ever built those houses. Besides, I can
hover a little with the new plane.

Possums,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
That’s a very interesting photo rig, more believable that that first pic you sent, that one looked to have a little bit too much "Uncle Sam" for a Kolb!

Glad your neighbors are cool with your flight patterns, and the fact you were there long before should really mean something! I only mentioned that, because I have some land near me, that I am not having any luck buying, and worry that someday it will be filled with houses like in your video (and the people will not like airplanes). But, I was here first should count for something? Right? Well, hope it will anyway.

Look forward to any new videos, so please keep us posted!!!

Here's another river scene I shot this morning.
This is a pretty neat little camera was $799 then $699 now $599 + the
memory chip $89.
The battery seems to last about an hour and the memory is 4 Gigabits.
Losses some quality when you upload to "YouTube" of course, but the
originals are
really good - even HighDef if you record them that way. I don't have
a HD TV, so I use a lower
setting. Of course you can never "really" bring it back home like it
was being there.

Here's another one I shot on the way home.
Gotta check out those VG's if you haven't already.

If you want to see the Original it's about 44 MB.... ouch!
That's why this site's so good - you lose some resolution
but doesn't take 15 minutes to download the video.

Yah, perty cool, Possum, but don't let the game warden catch ya. You've got good control with that helmet-cam. Nice and steady. Most people zip a video camera back and forth till a guy's nearly sea-sick from trying to watch it.   Do not Archive.

Done had my "butt bite" more than once. At least I can hold my breath
and don't have to shoot any bears like brother "Hauck" might have to do
one day if he keeps flying up north. I'll take the water over that anytime.

BTW why doesn't he just change his name to "Hawk" ?

Yes - But notice..... "Your head is a great shock absorber until you land on the runway"
This was actually a pretty good landing and the runway is not that bad, but once I'm
in contact with the ground, I can't smooth out the bumps anymore with my head.
Gee ..... we ought to give video lessons to the new guys - huh?
(What not to do with your Kolb by .... Larry & Stan)
So please call me now with your orders. $29.00 (plus shipping & handling).

Thanks for the videos. Been a while since I have flown the Etowah

Good old Canadas. Never pursued them but flew 300 hours one summer on Great White Pelican air strike survey in Cessna 150 and did roundy-rounds with the big birds as they were gaining altitude to go back to their roost on Gunnison Island in Great Salt Lake. They accepted the Taylorcraft that day, just kept milling.

A friend caught nine Canada Geese coming his way right in dark after an engine overhaul in his Cessna 185. Full power got him down at a nearby airport just ahead.

Hi Possum
Thanks for the great "Duck Hunting" video! I guess you don't have to worry about game wardens up there. Smile
I found out that when the Paper Mill smoke is going straight up, like it is on the power plant that it means I am in for some great flying. (If I had an engine out it would be nice to have that many places to land when I fly, my area is mostly covered with trees.)

Hi John,
found a reference on another list to `Montana Scabbards`.

It is apparently a very lightweight scabbard to hold a gun, fishing rods,
golf bag or whatever on a bike. Remembering that you carry a rifle on some
of your expeditions I thought it might be interesting to you...Maybe worth a
look

Cheers

Pat
