Friends,
Now it can be told. The required flight testing is complete, and N17EF is
home in Atlanta, resting comfortably it her T-hanger at FTY (Fulton County
Airport).
To honor the occasion, there will be a party! You are invited.
Saturday, December 2, 2006
11:00 AM until 2:00 PM or thereabouts.
Lunch and other stuff will be served. We're working on the menu now.
Dress is strictly casual.
Directions:
Flying: FTY is on the west side of Atlanta, under the Class B wedding cake.
Tell Ground you're going to the T-hangers. There aren't but 7, so you won't
have any trouble finding us. There is plenty of parking space on the ramp
adjacent to the T-hangers. If you are arriving in anything larger than a
B-17, you might call ahead to arrange parking
Driving: A little more difficult. The airport is in the NW quadrant of the
I-20W, I-285 intersection, off Fulton Industrial Blvd.

Fulton Industrial. Go about 1 mile. The airport entrance will be on your
right, and is marked by a large sign. "Charlie Brown - Fulton County
Airport". Turn right.

Once on the airport entrance road, follow it until you get to the Hill
Aviation Terminal. Take the road on the right side of the building that
leads down to the airport ramp. Stop at the gate, push the "talk" button,
and tell whoever answers that you are going to Earl Ferguson's T-hanger.
They will open the gate for you. Once inside, turn right past the parked gas
trucks. Stay on the wide inner ramp (don't get on the taxiway or, heaven
forbid, the runway). The T-hangers are 1/4 mile, just past the fire station.
Hopefully you will see the crowd. If you are passing big hangers, you've
gone too far.
Park at the end of the T-hangers. If that fills up, there is plenty of space
on the ramp.
We don't have a rain date, so please pray for decent weather.
