Just thinking that Santa must be one hotshot STOL flyer!
Landing on all those little roofs, at odd angles....
And with such a heavy load on board.....
The aerodynamics of that sleigh are impressive....
And the t/o thrust of those reindeer – I’m envious....
And all those TV antennas and powerlines....
In the dark, with all those glaring lights....
So give him a break and at least set up a windsock....

And give him good tight GPS coords with elevation along with the coords of all features in your area (power lines, large trees, towers, etc).

Not a problem. He has slats with VG’s, but cannot call it a 701 anymore
…uses green scotchbrite pads on the bottom of his skis, for traction
….has a fifth bearing on his WW Conversion with a rear starter, swinging a five bladed prop of questionable efficiency
….labels his panel with a label maker, but used crinkle paint, so the labels keep falling off
….has two nav antennas, one on the rudder and one underneath, just in case
….put both the landing light and the aileron trim on the right wing, ‘cause he’s a big guy
….has a glass panel backed up by steam gauges, because his dynamo keeps over charging and he used a master switch that doesn’t enable him to cut off the alternator
….has polished aluminum that doesn’t shine too well because he didn’t use Nuvite’s ‘C’
…he can’t be seen too well because of the polished aluminum (that’s OK, he needs to be stealth), but he has strobes and a flashing beacon even though he’s a Sport Pilot, plus he has the landing light that he can turn on whenever he wants to be seen, or to light up the rooftops, but one light is burned out because he didn’t think to turn the glowy thing vertical…
One last thing, he’s on his 3rd 701, but it’s OK, he knows a guy who’s really good at rebuilding 701’s!

If you have kids load this page up so they can watch him on their radar. If you check it before launch you will see a countdown clock up and running.
