well I think it will be interesting.... probably this spring.... to really compare two KF 2 side by side.. we will have that chance to have an objective comparison...
One KF2 was converted I believe from a 532 to a brand new, latest version of the HKS and mine a KF2 with a 582 BH I have about 400 hours on mine .. as far as the shorter take off... my bet is on the 582, as far as fuel economy... easy HKS.... as far as cruise.... no idea.... but be patient we have crappy weather ...
This will be fun...
will keep you posted...

Dave, Side by side is exactly what we need. Even the post on the 912 vs
the Jab 2200 the two airplanes didn't fly side by side due to an unforseen
problem. I would trust side by side comparisons anytime over stop watch
comparisons.

Is the drive shaft of the HKS hollow like that of the "C"box?? I was
considering getting one of the GSC/Warp in flight adjustable props but it
needs the hollow see through drive shaft.

Once again I agree with you....
I got cold feet when I saw how much fuel they burn. I wonder how far Jay
Leno goes on a tank on his jet bike.
They have to go a good way to match the fuel economy of the Diesel. But...
If they ever do!!!! I'll be the one behind you in the line.

There was a 100 HP turbine available for the Fox a few
years back. Very light for the power, but 17 GPH full
power and 11 GPH at idle, if I remember correctly.
Not much range.....

I'm waiting for a truly fuel efficient turbine. Can
you imagine how
a 'fox would perform with an engine that light and
powerful?
