Hi All,
A couple of Q,s and help please.
Any one had a problem with H20 in the tailplane strb side
It is a small amount , still same weight as Port tailplane.
Any ideas on removal? noise/wash appears to be F/wd
of pip pin apperture.
Obviously I need to cover pip pin slots,
anyone have a fix for this please?
See you, (those attending) on Saturday at Bosworth Hall

Colin, Put a sticky PVC circle over them, along with your other access
holes, and wing roots. It will go faster apart from keeping the water out.

A quick solution for covering the pip pin holes is to use discs of self adhesive white pvc sheet. They look neat and unobtrusive. I used them for the wing drag pin and flap rod inspection holes as well. They cope well with the surface curvature, especially at the wing root. It does mean that you need a new set every time the pins are removed. This is only a significant problem if you rig and derig for each flight.

Hi Colin,
I have had to deal with H2O ingress in tail planes and wings. The wing was
difficult but tailplanes a lot easier to dry out. It would be simpler to
describe the method when we meet at Bosworth Hall on Saturday rather than by
e mail.
See you Saturday
